Outreach to Tuberculosis and Leprosy Patients

Challenges: Some of the challenges faced include:
  • The patients who have been treated and are being rejected by their communities, need to be rehabilitated with their children.
  • The orphan and vulnerable children need to be supported nutritionally, educational and psychosocially.
  • Inadequate funding.
  • Lack of vehicle.
  • Lack of awareness on early symptoms of leprosy.
Way Forward: Some of the challenges faced include:
  • The organization is self funding which is limited in service. If funded, the organization could help in the sensitization of early signs of leprosy in the local communities.
  • The organization could help in rehabilitating of the rejected persons.
  • Empower the rejected persons on small scale enterprises.
  • Give nutritional, educational and psychosocial support to the orphan and vulnerable children.
